Argentine coach, who replaced Nuno Espírito Santo in the position, says goodbye to the club after 33 matches; Marco Silva is of interest to the Saudis
Al Ittihad announced this Tuesday that it has ended its relationship with Marcelo Gallardo, the Argentine coach who replaced Nuno Espírito Santo as coach in November 2023.
The 48-year-old coach arrived at a time when the Saudi club was in 6th place in the league and, after 33 games, in which they won 16, drew three and lost 14, they rose to fifth place.
However, a series of five defeats in seven matches in the final stretch of the season will have taken away the confidence of the Al Ittihad management in the coach.
It should be noted that, according to Sky Sport , the management of the Saudi club is interested in securing the signing of Marco Silva, current Fulham coach.
